Vanessa Minnillo has finally dropped her maiden name and taken on her husband Nick Lachey's surname. Fans and followers can now find the newly married television personality under her new alias, @VanessaLachey, instead of her former Twitter handle @VanessaMinnillo. Lachey, who announced the last two awards at the AMAs with Lionel Richie, is clearly banking on her marriage, which is already four-months strong, going the distance.
Vanessa, who describes herself as a 'host by day, wifey by night, wanna-be mommy all the time' in her Twitter profile, also recently bought a home in the upmarket Encino area of California. The "Wipeout" hostess married "The Sing-Off's" Nick Lachey in July---with a TLC wedding special airing shortly thereafter, of course.
Located in the heart of San Fernando Valley, the Spanish-style estate is 8,000 square feet and features a whopping eight bathrooms and 18 rooms. It also includes vaulted beam ceilings, fireplaces, several balconies and a pool. “So.... I'm making it official, and I LOVE my "new name"! @VanessaLachey.... has a nice ring to it,” Vanessa tweeted of her new surname before the weekend. "It doesn't feel any different, which I think is a great thing – I think that means it was good to begin with," said the 37-year-old singer.
