The Kardashian boycott that started with a small petition requesting that E! remove Keeping Up With The Kardashians from their network, is now gaining steam as the petition which had roughly 60,000+ signatures earlier today, is now closing in on 100,000 signatures.
A petition has been launched online calling for the E! Entertainment network, which airs "Keep Up With The Kardashians" and other shows based on the close clan, to be removed from the airwaves. While the anti-Kardashian camp is strong no doubt, there is still lots of love for the sisters. You should have seen the turnout at their book signing today in New York in the pouring rain. There is Kardashian love flowing strong.
Snider asks that concerned parties join her in pushing for the end of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," the reality show that chronicles the lives of sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, along with their mom, Kris Jenner, stepdad, Bruce Jenner, and half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
Following the rich-daddy-and-sex-tape formula, the next-gen celebutante and her derriere vaulted into the spotlight, finding a home on E! with a series of vapid reality shows and specials- the apex of that being a multi-million dollar wedding, the planning of which far outlasted her 72-day marriage to NBA free agent Kris Humphries.
"In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming," petition organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement to Yahoo TV.
"We feel these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption." The 31-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star filed for divorce at a Los Angeles court. The couple's date of separation is also listed as October 31. The petition on GoPetition.com has already received more than 46,000 signatures.
Facebook pages have also been created to oust the Kardashian clan from the cable network. Kim, her family, and her lawyer have vehemently denied allegations that the marriage to Kris Humphries was for any reason other than love.
There is even a Kardashian boycott Facebook page than you can join to chat with other Kardashian haters.
