Blake Lively strikes a pose at the Christian Louboutin cocktail party held at Barneys New York on Tuesday (November 1) in New York City. Wearing a corset top with flower motifs, short black skirt and pumps, the Gossip Girl actress has shown a lot of skin posing for photos on the red carpet.
Blake was full of praise for the legendary scarlet-soled shoe designer. The Gossip Girl struck a pose alongside the French designer at the Barneys bash, wearing a teeny-tiny Dolce & Gabbana dress and pointed Louboutin Pigalle courts. Christian Louboutin was there at the time. He asked whether the girl loved a pair of shoes she was holding in her hands.
Louboutin explained his recent comparison of high heels to female orgasms, “When you are on a very high heel, the position of your arch is the same for many people who have an orgasm -- men included!” She told People.com: "They are the most beautiful shoes out there. And incredibly innovative. It's embarrassing how many pairs I have."
Lively, in a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble, Valentino coat and Louboutin heels, explained her favorite shoes differently, “That’s like asking a mother who their favorite child is! I love them all.” She also said, "I went to [Louboutin's] atelier and I was walking around, like every shoe here is so beautiful and I saw this one pair and I said: “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Christian also gave his tips for what to expect as the high fashion for this season, adding: 'A beautiful low-cut pump. Blake is so in love with her designer garments that she feels an almost maternal instinct towards them. So much so that she couldn't bear to name her most precious pair of high heels.
The Blake shoe, which will soon be available to buy in both the U.S. and the UK, will cost £635.
