The Walking Dead Season Finale | Walking Dead s02e13

The season finale of AMC's "The Walking Dead" featured an all-out zombie vs. human showdown that left some of the gang dead. There were car chases, zombies, tons of zombie killings and a beloved Georgia barn going up in flames.

It's a conversation about Shane that those walkers first interrupt, Carl asking his father what transpired between the men that could have culminated in Shane's death (and brief reanimation). Michonne’s backstory in the comics is somewhat similar to Andrea’s.

They were both attorneys who’ve found ways to adapt to post-apocalyptic life. Kirkman, who created the comic books upon which the TV show is based, is equally excited, if not more so, to revisit "the best material" of the original "Walking Dead" story.

On February 24, 2012, it was announced that David Morrissey had been cast as The Governor, and on March 18, 2012, during the Talking Dead, it was revealed that Danai Gurira had been cast as Michonne. Both are major characters in the comic series. The finale ends with another twist/mystery. As the gang gathers around a fire, Rick gives a speech and invites anyone who does want to stay with the crew to leave.
