The 12th Annual Latin Grammys was burning hot Thursday night. The red carpet sizzled Nov. 10 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. Gorgeous Latina singers and actresses dressed in third-degree attire.
Puerto Rican band Calle 13 were the big winners of the night with nine awards (breaking the previous record of five wins in a single ceremony) including Album of the Year for Entren Los Que Quieran; and Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Latinoamérica".
Shakira was named Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy. "Waka Waka" singer Shakira said during her acceptance speech, "One of my favorite passages in the bible is Corinthians 3: 13. Without love nothing is good for me and without love I am nothing. To my loved ones… my family and my brother Tony thank you for your friendship.”
The Colombian beauty also won the Best Female Pop Album award for her “Sale El Sol" while performing a a trio of songs including “Antes de las Seis,” “Devoción” and “Loca”.
Pop star Demi Lovato, 19, stunned onlookers when she debuted a dramatically more mature look. “So excited for today :),” the 19-year-old entertainer, wearing a dress with a plunging neckline, tweeted.
“Bummed that my red hair didn’t stay very well.” Demi was styled for the event by celebrity stylist and pal Simone Harouche who custom fitted the Roland Mouret Compeyson zip-front stretch-crepe gown by altering the original plunging back of the gown to be the tantalizing front.
The stunning singer and actress let the daring dress do all the talking by simply pairing the look with a moonstone cocktail ring and some chandelier earrings. She also had toned down her recently dyed bright red hair to a more classic richer chestnut hue.
Sofia Vergara looked drop-dead gorgeous in an embellished, strapless silver gown with flowing curled locks; and Zoe Saldana shined in an emerald green sparkler. The 39-year-old Modern Family star did a series of sexy poses as she preened for the camera in the sizzling number. The dress clung to the actress's curves in all the right places, especially accentuating her derriere and bust line.
