Aliaa Magda Elmahdy Naked: Israeli Women Posed In Support [VIDEO]

Modern day debates on freedom of expression are arguably about the extent to which people can exercise their freedom. Dozens of Israeli women have posed naked in support of Aliaa Magda Elmahdy (PHOTOS HERE), the Egyptian blogger who sparked fury in the Arab world last week when she published a series of nude pictures of herself on Twitter under her real name in a protest, according to the International Business Times.

While Aliaa Magda Elmahdy has said that she does not "acknowledge any discriminatory law". "I stand by every letter I wrote and every photo I published and will say that I don't acknowledge any laws that limit freedoms or are discriminatory if I was called for investigation," she wrote.

An unlikely group of 40 Israeli women (VIDEO below) have shown solidarity and support for Aliaa Elmahdy by stripping off for a photo of their own. They didn’t go quite as far as Aliaa. They were photgraphed behind a sign that read ‘Love without Limits’ and ‘Homage to Aliaa Elmahdi. Sisters in Israel’.

Encouraging fellow Israelis, she wrote on Facebook: "Girls, let's give the world a good reason to see the unique beauty of Israeli women." The women responded in solidarity: "Regardless of whether they are Jewish, Arab, straight or lesbian - because here, as of now, it doesn't matter. Let us show the doubters that our international discourse doesn't depend on governments."

The Egyptian Coalition of Islamic Law Graduates filed a suit against Aliaa Elmahdy and her boyfriend, the blogger Kareem Amer, under charges of "violating morals, inciting indecency and insulting Islam.
